27th Annual Portfest set for June 6 & 7, 2008

The Portfest "Rollin' on the River" Festival will celebrate its 27th anniversary on June 6-7, 2008. Held on the banks of the White River at beautiful Jacksonport State Park, Portfest offers quality family entertainment at a low cost.

John Anderson and Darryl Worley will be performing on Friday, June 6. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gates. Gates open at 4 p.m. with music starting at 7 p.m.

Saturday, June 7 attractions include the Miller Spectacular Carnival, Buddy Bass Fishing Tournament, children's area and activities, the Colgate Country Showdown, the Arkansas State Catfish Cooking Contest, horseshoe pitching, food/arts and crafts vendors. Vince Neil of Motley Crue will perform on the main stage at 8:30 p.m. followed by a fireworks extravaganza. Gates open at noon with live entertainment throughout the day.
