Welcome to the City of Newport's Citizens' Access Network. I am hopeful that information obtained here will enable you to learn about our beautiful city. We plan to continually update this page with the latest project information.

Located on the White River in Northeast Arkansas, Newport offers good living, a mild climate, and a countryside conducive to the avid sportsperson.

With two 18 hole golf courses, abundant fishing and other recreational activities, our city is perfect for a weekend or a lifetime!

Newport is the home of a thriving manufacturing industry with a wide variety of employment possibilities.

Highway 67, an important part of Arkansas' freeway system, lies within our city limits, connecting Newport to several major cities such as Little Rock, Dallas, Memphis and St. Louis. We are fortunate to have a municipal airport that is used extensively by small to mid-size airplane transfers.

Newport is home to excellent medical and educational facilities including Arkansas State University-Newport that offers an excellent education with a friendly hometown atmosphere.

Opportunities abound in this small yet vivacious community!
